I don't know if this is an appropriate tribe but, well...here goes:
Did we really go, let alone send men to the moon?
Since the X-Files were all about gov't conspiracy...

Re: conspiracy?
Wed, January 19, 2005 - 4:59 PMExcellent question Deb.I wish I could give you an excellent answer.I too have pondered such things.Maybe because of The X-files and other shows and movies we have become very cynical and not so quick to believe everything we are told. The older I get and the longer I live the more I distrust the government and politicians. It's for sure that they are capable and I believe willing to do such things.I just don't know anymore.I would like to believe we did walk on the Moon as well as other Space Travel but how do we really know? What does everyone else think? -

Re: conspiracy?
Thu, January 20, 2005 - 3:05 PMThere was a big thing about us not going to the moon and that the whole thing was set up in a sound stage. They tried to compare footprints and the absence of dust when the module landed and that the flag looked like it was waving in the breeze, something about the terrain being the same in all of the shots and the shadows being being inconsistant. Sounds like a good story but not very realistic. It seems much more would have come out of it if it was staged. but I agree with big Daddy in that I wouldn't put it past the government to do such a thing.

Re: conspiracy?
Wed, February 23, 2005 - 10:06 AMno doubt the government is able and willing of conspiracy. but in the moon and space travel case, there is to much evidence and too many people involved to reject the fact that men have walked on the moon. my concern is not that it was staged, but that there may have been other unsuccessful missions to the moon before the successful one. i find it difficult to believe we got there in the first shot, without previous wrecks or stranded crews
